WHAT IS ANGANWADI?

It is a known phenomena that Anganwadi Centre s is not merely a AWC but a focal point for village women and children. In some of the Anganwadi Centres located at Southern part of Krishna District, it was found that the safety and security of the children was at jeopardy as most of the Anganwadi centres are dilapidated condition and they lack proper ventilation and power supply which directly affects the children admitted in the anganwadi centres.
The Anganwadi buildings with insufficient and not safe infrastructure is harmful to the children accessing and availing the services of the Anganwadi Centres. The children accessing pre-school and the pregnant women do face difficulties in availing quality services. The infrastructure facility is key in reinforcing the quality service delivery.
